About

Ralph Waldo Emerson Junior High began back in the 1960s, and was originally located at 5th and B Street in downtown Davis. A new site was constructed  in the late 1970s and in the 1979-1980 school year, the first students attended at the new location.

Our namesake is Ralph Waldo Emerson, the 19th century American author and philosopher, and transcendentalist. Our campus offers a vibrant Spanish Immersion program, a highly certified AVID program, an Integrated AIM/Honors program, and a wide variety of engaging core and elective classes.

Our goals for the 2019-2020 School Year Revolve around 21st Century Teaching and Learning, Closing the Achievement (or Opportunity) Gap, and a Safe, Inclusive Campus. We also are excited to be striving towards our district's Graduate Profile.
